About Alicia

Alicia grew up in North Carolina on a horse farm, riding, doing art... kinda like now. Maybe she never quite grew up!

1978: BA in Design from Duke University
1978: Marries Duke Alumni United Methodist Pastor, Richard Daily
1980: First Degree Mom to daughter, Allie
1984: Second Degree Mom to daughter Emily
1985: BFA work in Graphic Design University of North Florida - Art Shows in Florida
1986: MFA work, Radford University, later more work on MFA at Virginia Commonwealth University
1992: Started Hands On Pottery in Winchester, VA

Artist's Statement

I try to live up to my reputation as an artist, which absolves me of a great deal of responsibility in this world! You won't catch me happy to be repeating myself much, but I am glad to share some of my favorite designs or create new works for you. I love trying new things. I am kind of an "A.D.D." sprinter when I work--a little nutty, but happy to be doing what I love.
